Privacy policy
Last updated August 2026
Money American is a publisher. We write about money, and advertisers pay us when a reader clicks through to them. This page explains what we collect while you are on our site, what we do with it, and how to tell us to stop.
What we collect
Information collected automatically
When you open a page on this site, our servers and our analytics providers record standard technical information:
- IP address, and the approximate region it resolves to
- Browser type, operating system and device type
- The page you opened, the page that referred you, and the time of the visit
- Which links you clicked while on the page
We use the region your IP resolves to in order to show pricing and availability relevant to your state. We do not store your IP address alongside your name, because we do not collect your name.
Information you give us
Our articles do not contain forms. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any financial detail. When you click an offer on this site you leave it, and anything you enter after that point is collected by the advertiser under their privacy policy, not ours.
If you email us, we hold your message and your email address so that we can reply.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our advertising partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to measure which pages and which offers people find useful, and to attribute a conversion back to the click that produced it.
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps the page working, including remembering your region for the length of your visit. |
| Analytics | Counts visits and clicks in aggregate so we can tell which articles are worth writing. |
| Advertising and attribution | Set by us and by our partners to record that a click came from this site, which is how we get paid. |
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking advertising cookies does not stop you using the site, and it does not change any price you are offered.
Advertising partners
Every offer on this site belongs to a third party. When you click one you are handed off to that company or to the affiliate network that represents them, and they receive the fact that the click came from us. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policy, which you should read before you apply for anything.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your contact details with advertisers, because we do not collect them.
How we use what we collect
- To show content and offers relevant to your region
- To measure which articles and offers people engage with
- To get paid by advertisers for clicks that originate here
- To detect fraud, bot traffic and abuse
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask us not to sell or share it. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and several other states have these rights by statute. We extend the same handling to anyone who asks, wherever they live.
To make a request, email andrew@adsora.com with the word "privacy" in the subject line. We will respond within the period required by the law that applies to you. We may need to ask a question or two to confirm the request is genuinely yours.
Our site honours the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends one.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
We keep technical logs for as long as we need them to measure traffic, verify payment from advertisers and investigate fraud, and then we delete them. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes get a notice on the site itself.
